Mount Vernon

This was my first overnight school field trip, in Spring 1986, as a fourth grader in the PLATO program at Fishburn Park Elementary School in Roanoke, Va. We visited Washington, D.C. and Mount Vernon, stopping in between in Old Town Alexandria. The highlight of these photos is that, more than 20 years later, I now live mere feet from where the Alexandria photos were taken.
